Licensed Venue – Conditions of Entry & Alcohol Policy

Bigscreen Cinemas is a licensed venue operating under a Queensland Liquor Licence. As such, we are legally required to comply with all conditions of our licence and Queensland liquor legislation.

Bringing External Alcohol Onto the Premises

Patrons are not permitted to bring their own alcohol into Bigscreen Cinemas under any circumstances.

Any alcohol consumed on our premises must be:

  • Purchased from our licensed venue;

  • Served by RSA-trained staff; and

  • Consumed in accordance with our liquor licence conditions.

Bringing external alcohol into a licensed premises is a breach of Queensland liquor regulations and may result in penalties applying.

Refusal of Entry

If a patron is found attempting to enter Bigscreen Cinemas with external alcohol, or is found to have brought external alcohol onto the premises, management reserves the right to:

  • Refuse entry;

  • Ask the patron to leave the premises;

  • Remove the alcohol from the venue; and/or

  • Take any action required to protect our liquor licence and ensure compliance.

This decision is made due to a breach of our Conditions of Entry and liquor licensing obligations.

Ticket Refunds

Refunds will not be provided where entry has been refused due to a patron breaching our Conditions of Entry, including but not limited to:

  • Bringing external alcohol onto the premises;

  • Breaching liquor licensing requirements;

  • Refusing to follow reasonable staff directions;

  • Inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour.

By purchasing a ticket and entering Bigscreen Cinemas, patrons agree to comply with our Conditions of Entry.

Our staff are required to enforce these conditions fairly and consistently to ensure a safe, enjoyable and legally compliant environment for all guests.
